Speed Record Club

- speed on wheels, water and wings

Event News - June 2011.

Summer event based at Coventry Transport Museum.

Using Coventry as our base for the weekend has many reasons, not least of which is its central location and ease of access. It is also the venue of one of our earliest meetings for the club and the museum has a host of interesting exhibits for anyone interested in record breaking and motoring.

The basis for the daytime event at Coventry Transport Museum is to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of information with topics ranging from record breaking on land and water, endurance record breaking and engineering and design of record breaking vehicles. Confirmed guests include Richard Noble, Gina Campbell, Don Wales, Richard Brown, club founder Robin Richardson and many more. Information about the museum can be found on their website at www.transport-museum.com.

We anticipate that the weekend will be popular and entry/attendance at all or any of the locations will be by ticket and can only be guaranteed if booked in advance. All venues have a maximum capacity and tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.

The outline programme of events is as follows (please note we reserve the right to make changes if necessary)
