Event News - January 2010.

Winter event based at Coniston.

2009 is rapidly coming to an end and it will soon by January 2010 and our annual visit to Coniston.

This year, we are based at The Waterhead Hotel, with exclusive use of the whole venue. We have negotiated a special reduced rate for Speed Record Club members - please quote Speed Record Club when booking.

The outline programme of events is as follows (please note we reserve the right to make changes if necessary)

arrivals and informal gathering at The Black Bull followed by informal time at The Waterhead Hotel

Model Rocket Boat competition - back by popular demand!

Guided walk up The Old Man of Coniston (weather permitting)

Guided "Campbell Walk" of Coniston village including entry to the Ruskin Museum

Open Club Committee meeting

evening – social event, including a buffet meal and the usual quiz and raffle.
